At the pre-draft combine, Kevin Durant, who is widely considered to be the first or second player taken in the NBA Draft, could not bench 185 pounds a single time. Durant, who does have a 7-foot, 4-inch wingspan, was the only player not to complete a repetition.
In addition, Durant also failed to beat fellow top prospect, center Greg Oden, in several drills. He had a shorter vertical leap (33.5 inches to Oden’s 34 inches) and also posted a slower time in the agility (shuttle) drill.
