The latest NFL player to face legal trouble in this trouble-filled off-season may be Detroit Lions defensive tackle Shaun Rogers, who, according to Terry Foster of the Detroit News, “is in deep trouble” after an incident at a strip club.

Although details aren’t clear yet, Foster reports:

Rogers was interviewed Saturday at Ford Field for an incident in a strip club where he was reportedly carrying a gun and touched a stripper in a club called The Players Den on Detroit’s west side.
A warrant to the Wayne County Prosecutors Office will be submitted Monday.

When he’s on the field, Rogers is one of the best defensive linemen in the league. But he hasn’t been on the field a lot lately, missing four games last year because of a violation of the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy, and six more games because of injuries. If Foster’s report is correct, expect Rogers to miss more time in 2007.
